The Open District Basketball championship was inaugurated on Saturday at Indoor Stadium.
In the inaugural match, Hoopstar Basketball Club defeated Womens College MA Road in women’s section. In another match, Kashmir Warriors sports club defeated Green Valley School.
In men’s section, SSM College defeated Highland Hoopers basketball club while as in second match Joggers Basketball club defeated Red State Basketball club.
The final of the event would be held on Sunday. The championship is being organized by the District Srinagar Basketball Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
