300 girl students participating ranging from age group of 4 years to above 18
Srinagar, 14 July: In order to promote sports in the state, Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council organised seven days defence camp including one day for competitions at indoor Sports Stadium.
More than 300 girl students from age group of 4 years to above 18 are being trained at the camp. They are getting trained under the supervision of Taekwondo coaches Mansha Bashir and Sheikh Muzaffar.
Secretary Sports Council, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra said that in the present scenario, it is important for everyone to get training of self defense. He further added that more camps of self defence for girls will continue in future also.
During the commencement of the championship, the students showed great interest and desire for the camp. They said that it is the dedication that will lead us to strengthen our aspirations towards sports. They requested sports council to continue such camps in future also. The championship commenced on 10th of July 2017 and will be closed on 16th of July 2017.
