In a major announcement that may turn out a milestone in the sports history of J&K state, Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra on Tuesday announced that Government is planning to construct special stadium for girls in Kashmir.
“It is great moment for me and sports in general. I am here to develop the sports in state and I will leave no stone unturned in this regard. I am happy to announce that Government will soon build girls special stadium in Kashmir. It will be first such type of stadium exclusively meant for the girls,” Parra said during the sports award function held to honour sports stars of Kashmir at indoor Stadium here.
He said that J&K State Sports Council is planning to build indoor stadium in every town of the State for the grass root level development of sports.
“We will provide sports facilities to every child in our State. We are planning to build indoor stadiums in every town of the state so that sports activities can continue throughout the year,” Parra announced.
“Sports council doors are open for every individual sports person from any part of the State. We will provide equipment to anyone who knocks our door or is in need our help,” he added.
