550 sportspersons ranging from age group of above-8 and below 18 participated
Srinagar, 08 July: In order to promote sports in the state Jammu and Kashmir, District Wushu Association Srinagar organised District Wushu Championship sponsored by the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council in which more than 550 sportspersons participated ranging from age groups of above-8 and below 18 years.
Secretary Wushu Association Srinagar informed that 50 categories were held from local Wushu clubs of Srinagar, schools who participated in the championship.
During the commencement of the championship, International Cricketer Parvez Rasool interacted with the players and encouraged the sportspersons for the game. The championship commenced on 04th of July 2017 and will be closed on 06th of July 2017.
