JAMMU: Thirty eight power lifting players of J&K has been selected for Senior and Junior Master Equipped and Unequipped Bench Press Championship (men and women), which will be held at Pune from November 14 to 18.
The team has been selected by All J&K State Power Lifting Association on the merit basis before the selection trial.
The team underwent a screening test conducted by the J&K State Sports Council officials namely Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer, Satish Sharma Manager Indoor Sports Complex. The official of the Association namely Ajay Sharma, General Secretary, Rahul Sawhney Senior Vice President, Sanjeev Singh and Adil Joint Secretary were also present at the time of screening test.
The women team players are Adity, Mannat, Radha, Sakshi, Apoorvi, Monika, Malvi, Juhi, Simran and Upasana, whereas men team includes Arjun, Ritesh, Harshdeep, Haroon, Gourav, Varun, Aditya, Abishek, Vishal, Sunil, Hashir, Raman, Sawan, Ankush, Pankaj, Vikrant, Sandeep, Sajjad, Joginder, Amandeep, Anshum, Rhubham, Vikram, Jagbir, Vikramjeet, Gharjeet, Bimal Indu and Younis.
The teams will be accompanied by Ajay Sharma General Secretary (National Referee-I), Deepak Jyoti as Coach Women Team, Adil as Coach Men Team and Shabeel as Team Manager.
