Sports council to extend special programs for ladakh region
Secretary Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council, Waheed ur Rehman Para on Saturday reviews sports activities and plan for ladakh. While visiting many playing fields in Leh, Parra also visited State Football Academy unit Leh and interacted with the players of the academy.
Under its Youth and Sports Promotion initiative, J&K State Sports Council (SSC) has already started a programme to provide recognition and support to sports teams from all the three regions to boost sports activities in the State. Later on Parra also visited newly established sports academies and interacted with youth.
“Reviewing of sports activities in the state is part of our Youth and Sports promotion initiative, and we are happy to see large number of youth in these areas aspires for sports activities,” said Secretary Sports Council, Waheed Parra, while interacting with youth at Leh.
He further added, “Sports Council will organize special programs for Ladakh region to nurture the talent and for promotion and equal participation from all the three regions at national/International levels,” added parra.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sports Council recently appointed NIS certified coaches from all the three regions- Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to review and to train the young and aspiring sportspersons of the state.
“Aspiring sportspersons have access to class-level coaching programs, chance to participate in Sports tournaments at district, State, National and International levels,” Said Angmo, Incharge Sports Council Leh.
Moreover, the Council also provides coaching at all the three regions and every district of the state by professional and NIS trained coaches, which has boosted the sports activities in the state.
Later on, Para visits newly established State Football Academy Unit at Leh and interacted with the young and aspiring players there.
