JCC decimate NCC in the 1st Semi Final of the 1st State Level Chief Minister’s Cup

Shubam Pundir scored 112 runs remaining not out, Guru Pratap gets 5 wicket haul.

Jammu, 24 Mar: In today’s match at country cricket academy Gharota, JCC won the toss and opted to bat. Their batting looked like heading to a disaster, when they lost Jaswinder Singh for Zero, Surya Mahotra and Guru Pratap were bowled out respectively for 15 and 12 runs having played nearly 94 balls for their partnership of 26 runs.

The fourth wicket to fall was Paras Sharma for 14 individual runs when the team aggregate was 61 in 26 over’s. The team was aborted from landing into low score by Shubam Pundir 112 not out and Rohan Koul 48 not out in 29 balls.

NCC bowling was spearheaded by Pranav Mahajan 10 runs for 35 with 5 maidens but he went wicket less. Other bowlers Vijay Dogra, Shubam Khajuria clipped with 2 wickets each Indejeet, Deepak Manhas took one each.

When put to bat NCC began crumbling, the star batsman Shubam Khajuria was out, caught behind off Rohit Sharma on the very first ball. Manish Dogra Steadied the innings with 33, supported by Abdul Samad, but both fell to Paras Sharma. The slump took the rest of the batsmen in its wake and the whole team was bundled out for 160 runs. Only Vijay Dogra took small initiative of scoring 24 runs in the closing stages of the NCC innings, who got defeated convincingly.

From the JCC side, Guru Pratap Claimed 5 wickets whereas, Deepak Dogra, Paras Sharma got 2 wickets each.

The match umpires were Mr, Sadiq, Mr. Madan and Mr. Dayal.   Sandeep Singh was the Match Observer and the Council Nominee Mr. Randhir Singh and former Ranji Trophy player Mr. Suresh was also present on the occasion along with many cricket lovers.
