Jammu: The first volleyball match of the day was played between Jammu Spikers against Trikuta Club Salehar which was won by Jammu Spikers by 3-1 sets with the score of 23-25, 25-12, 25-10 and 25-16.
The second volleyball match was played between Pinto Club Jammu against Border Lines Pallanwalla and fortune favored Pinto Club Jammu with 3-1 sets and with score of 17-25, 25-21, 25-23 & 25-18.
The last match of the day was played between Jammu Spikers against Allah Volleyball Club and won by Jammu Spikers by straight sets 3-0 with the score of 26-24, 25-19 & 25-21.
On the occasion, The Special Secretary Forest, Amit Sharma (KAS) was the Chief Guest and Joint Controller L.M.D Vinod Singh Sambyal was the guest of honour. Amit Sharma introduced with the players and officials before the start of the match. He also appreciated the role of Sports Council particularly Secretary J&K Sports Council and Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu JKSC for organising such a mega event to promote sports culture in U.T J&K. Executive Vice President Volleyball Association, J&K H.S Gill, Associate Secretary Volleyball Federation of India Kuldeep Mangotra and Treasurer Volleyball Association of J&K R.C Sharma, Rajan Sharma Ex. DSO and sports lovers were present at the venue who lauded the efforts of the organisation.
Amit Sharma also honored young upcoming volleyball player Navjot Singh from rural area of village Slehar, Arnia Jammu who represents Trikuta Club Slehar for his outstanding performance as young upcoming player in the first league round matches and also assured his full support from his department to the Divisional Sports Officer J&K Sports Council Jammu Ashok Singh in successful conduct of the Premier league.
The technical panel of volleyball was Mulkh Raj Sharma, Sardar Amarjeet Singh, Imtiaz Ahmed, Aashiq Hussain (Volleyball Federation of India qualified National Referees).
In addition to this the Kabaddi matches where played at Bhagwati Nagar Indoor Sports Hall Jammu. The first match of the day was played between M.A Stadium against Akhnoor Club and won by M. A Stadium with the score of 47-38. The second Kabaddi match was played between Baba Jitto Club against Akhnoor Club which was won by Baba Jitto club by the margin of 17 points. In the third match of the day fortune again favored Baba Jitto Club who defeated Nagrota Warriors by the score of 25-15. In the fourth match of the day Shaheed D.B.P Sports Club defeated M.A Stadium Jammu by the margin of 23 points with the score of 53-30.
And the last match of the day was played between Shaheed D.B.P and Kings Sports Club, where Shaheed D.B.P Club registered the clear victory by defeating the Kings Sports Club by the margin of 28 points with the score of 59 – 31 and qualified for second round Kabaddi Premier League matches.
